After an overwhelming response during its inaugural year, Warren County's Finest is returning in 2026, giving residents another opportunity to recognize the businesses, organizations, professionals, and community leaders who help make Warren County a special place to live, work, and visit.
Hosted by Main Street Journal and Main Street Media, Warren County's Finest allows community members to nominate and vote for their favorite local businesses, organizations, and individuals across dozens of categories.
The contest is designed to celebrate the people and organizations that make a difference in the community every day - from restaurants and retail stores to healthcare providers, service professionals, educators, and community organizations.
Nominations for the 2026 contest will begin July 1, 2026, at 5 a.m. and remain open through July 29, 2026, at 5 p.m.
During the nomination phase, participants may submit one nomination per category each day.
Following nominations, the top nominees in each category will advance to the voting round. Main Street Journal will identify five finalists in each category based on community nominations, and voters will then decide who earns the title of Warren County's Finest.
Voting will begin on Aug. 1, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. and conclude on Aug. 29, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
During the voting phase, participants may cast one vote per category each day.
Winners are determined entirely by community participation. The top five nominees in each category will advance to the voting round, where voters will decide who earns the title of Warren County's Finest. Advertising does not influence the outcome, and awards cannot be purchased. Community support is what determines the winners.
Winners will receive an official 2026 Warren County's Finest certificate recognizing their achievement and will also have the opportunity to promote their accomplishment through a special Warren County's Finest Winners Digital Booklet, which will showcase this year's honorees and provide additional advertising opportunities for businesses looking to celebrate their recognition.
Businesses hoping to earn recognition are encouraged to remind customers, friends, family members, and supporters to participate throughout the contest.
Because voting is allowed once per day in each category, consistent community support can make a significant difference during the month-long voting process.
In addition to the return of Warren County's Finest, Main Street Journal will launch White County's Finest for the first time in 2026, expanding the program into another community served by the growing Main Street Journal network.
The expansion follows strong participation and engagement during the inaugural Warren County contest.
Businesses and organizations interested in increasing their visibility throughout the contest will also have access to a variety of advertising opportunities during both the nomination and voting phases.
Advertising placements are available throughout the ballot experience and allow businesses, schools, churches, nonprofits, festivals, political campaigns, healthcare providers, and community organizations to reach thousands of local participants as they browse, nominate, and vote.

Options range from premium placements on high-traffic ballot pages to category sponsorships and enhanced featured listings designed to help organizations increase awareness and engagement throughout the contest.
Participation in the contest is not required to purchase advertising, and organizations do not need to be nominees to take advantage of available promotional opportunities. Advertising within the Warren County's Finest contest does not, in any way, guarantee a business will win its respective category.
Additional information regarding categories, nominations, voting procedures, and advertising opportunities will be released as the contest approaches.
For businesses interested in advertising or sponsoring portions of the contest, Main Street Journal encourages early inquiries as premium placements are available in limited quantities.
More information will be available in the coming weeks on the Main Street Journal website and social media channels.
