The 2025-26 White County Warriorettes were honored this week with a visit to the Tennessee State Capitol after earning a runner-up finish in the TSSAA State Basketball Tournament.
The invitation was extended by State Representative Paul Sherrell and State Senator Paul Bailey in recognition of the program’s successful year on the court.
During their trip to Nashville, the Warriorettes toured the Capitol and had the opportunity to meet Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett. The team was also recognized during a special committee meeting focused on the state budget process, where lawmakers acknowledged the accomplishments of the White County program and the attention the team brought to the community throughout the season.
Each player received a signed copy of the Tennessee Blue Book to commemorate the visit.
For a group that spent the winter building one of the most memorable seasons in recent program history, the day served as another chance to celebrate what the Warriorettes accomplished both on and off the court.
As players posed for photos inside the Capitol and took in the history surrounding them, the trip capped another memorable moment for a team that gave White County fans plenty to cheer about this past season.
