If the Warriorettes' season opener is any indication of what's ahead, White County fans have plenty to be excited about this fall.

The Warriorettes opened the 2026 campaign with a commanding 7-0 victory over Monterey, taking control early with three first-half goals before continuing to build on the lead throughout the second half.

The offense featured contributions from all over the field. Juniors Kaydence Redmon and Anna Joliff combined for three goals, while freshmen Sami Benson and Nealy Scarola wasted little time making an impact in their high school debuts.

After the match, head coach Madison Mason said the balanced scoring was one of the most encouraging signs of the night.

"I am loving to see multiple people scoring it's definitely a team effort right now," Mason said. "And that's hard to compete against."

She was equally pleased with the effort away from the ball, pointing to the Warriorettes' hustle, physical play and ability to win nearly every 50/50 challenge as key factors in the victory.
