The White County Sheriff's Office is proud to be the first law enforcement agency in Tennessee to deploy a Digital Siren system, setting a new standard for community safety made possible through a combination of generous community donations and Sheriff’s Office funds.
The Digital Siren system alerts drivers when they are near an active emergency response or vehicle pursuit, helping increase awareness and reduce the risk of collisions. Alerts are delivered through the Digital Siren mobile app for Apple and Android devices, as well as automatically through popular navigation apps such as Google Maps.
“This project is a direct result of community support and Sheriff’s Office investment,” White County Sheriff Steve Page said. “Because of these donors, and our commitment to public safety, our deputies and citizens are safer.”
In addition to emergency and pursuit alerts, the system provides notifications for reckless or DUI drivers, traffic hazards, missing children or elderly individuals, flooded roadways, severe weather, and road closures.
“We would like to sincerely thank Tyler Brandes, the White County Rotary Club, and Carla Sabatke with 931 K9 for their generosity and commitment to public safety. Their support directly helped equip patrol vehicles and K-9 units with this life-saving technology,” Page said. “This project is a true example of how community partnerships, combined with agency investment, make a real difference. Thank you for helping us keep White County safe.”
