Pearcy approved as Parks and Rec Director after tense discussion

The White County Commission voted Tuesday night to hire a new Parks and Recreation Director, approving Don Pearcy for the role after a brief but pointed discussion about the hiring process. 

Pearcy’s name was presented by Denny Wayne Robinson, who explained that while the county’s HR department handled the application and interview process, he sat in on several of the interviews. According to Robinson, Pearcy was selected because of his extensive involvement with White County youth sports programs and his understanding of what local families expect from parks and recreation offerings.
