White County High School’s track and field teams were back in action Tuesday, April 21, with several athletes turning in top-10 finishes — including one trip to the podium.
On the boys’ side, Isaac Littles delivered the standout performance of the day. Littles cleared 19 feet, 2 inches in the long jump to secure a first-place finish and White County’s lone gold medal of the meet. He also competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing 16th with a time of 25.02.
For the Lady Warriors, Miya League came close to joining Littles on the podium. League posted a jump of 13 feet, 6 inches in the long jump to finish fourth, just outside the top three. She also ran the 100-meter dash, finishing 23rd.
White County saw multiple other athletes finish inside the top 10 across both teams.
In the girls’ sprints, Natalie West placed seventh in the 100-meter dash (14.13), while Olivia Revange turned in an eighth-place finish in the 200-meter dash (30.32). Addy Cocke added a seventh-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles (23.09) and also competed in the 100-meter dash.
Distance runner Kayce Wright secured a seventh-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:48.23.
In the field events, Jayden Breeding led the way with a fifth-place finish in discus (71-8), while also competing in shot put.
For the boys, Julius Davis and Noel Revange both landed in the top 10 in discus. Davis finished ninth with a throw of 100-8, while Revange followed closely behind in 10th at 99-8.
White County will be back on the track Thursday evening when they head to York Institute.
