Ten games. Ten wins. For the White County Warriors, Friday night's 35 - 0 win over Stone Memorial was more than just another game in the win column. It was the final step in an undefeated regular season, a feat that takes more than talent. It takes consistency, discipline, and the ability to handle the pressure that comes with having a target on your back week after week.

But Stone Memorial wasn't going to make that final win easy. With no postseason ahead of them, the Panthers had nothing to lose, while White County had an undefeated season on the line.

The first quarter was a back-and-forth battle, with neither team able to put points on the board. Stone Memorial threatened to score on its opening possession, driving the length of the field before JoJo Dowell intercepted a pass at the goal line and returned it to the Panthers' 40-yard line. White County couldn't capitalize on the turnover, and the teams finished the opening quarter tied at 0-0.

The Warriors found their rhythm in the second quarter, scoring three touchdowns to take control of the game. Cole Sims got things started with a powerful run up the middle, keeping his legs moving as he pushed his way across the goal line. Marshall Phillips added the extra point, giving White County a 7-0 lead with just under 10 minutes remaining in the half.

White County reached into its bag of tricks on its next possession. Facing second-and-20, Eli Smith took an outside pitch before pulling up and throwing a pass 40 yards downfield to Bryson Hogg. Hogg took care of the rest, racing into the end zone for the touchdown. Phillips added another extra point, extending the lead to 14-0 with seven minutes left in the half.

Sims helped set up the Warriors' third score with a run straight up the middle, breaking multiple tackles to give White County a first-and-goal. Three plays later, another run up the middle put six more points on the board. Phillips remained perfect on extra points, and White County led 21-0 with 2:28 remaining.

The Warriors nearly added another score before halftime. Hogg returned a punt 40 yards to give White County possession deep in Panthers territory. A pass interference penalty and two completions to Hogg moved the Warriors inside the five-yard line, but Pinion was stopped inches short of the goal line on the final play of the half, sending White County to the locker room with a 21-0 lead.

White County wasted little time adding to its lead after halftime. On the second offensive play of the third quarter, Tucker Pinion connected with Eli Smith on the outside, and Smith raced downfield for the touchdown. Phillips added the extra point, putting the Warriors ahead 28-0.

The Warriors added another touchdown in the fourth quarter after Pinion connected with Bryson Hogg on a deep pass from White County's 30-yard line. Hogg hauled it in near the Panthers' 20 and carried it to the eight before being brought down. Smith finished the drive with a jet sweep, diving into the end zone for the score. Phillips remained perfect on extra points, extending the lead to 35-0.

The Warrior defense did the rest.

Going 10-0 meant the Warriors had to do more than beat the teams on their schedule. They had to keep their focus through the excitement of big wins, the frustration of close games, and the growing pressure to finish what they had started. Friday night was one last test of that, especially against a Stone Memorial team playing with nothing to lose.

The Warriors have earned the chance to enjoy this one. They'll have plenty to worry about when the playoffs begin, but an undefeated regular season doesn't come along every year, and this team has given White County plenty to be proud of.
