It was another big game feel at White County High School as the Warriorettes hosted the Stone Memorial Lady Panthers out of Crossville.

Sparta was looking to bounce back after a tough loss to Upperman Friday, and they bounced back in a big way posting a 67-43 win over Coach Buck's squad.

Gracie Clark put on another offensive clinic leading White County with 24 points. Her senior cohort Lakelyn Grasty had an outstanding night on both ends of the floor, putting up 16 points and helping lock down a potent SMHS offense.

Coach Dodgen spoke with 92.7 YERT FM after the contest bragging on Grasty's defensive efforts and shining light on the great defensive night Kyra Fox had for the Warriorettes.

In total, seven Warriorettes scored. Following Clark and Grasty, were Bella Winningham and Ashlynn Selby who both had eight points apiece. Sophomore Kylie Norris knocked in five points while junior Kaylee Sanders had three points after hitting a triple late in the fourth quarter.

Sparta picked up their first district win, improving to 1-1 in district play while improving to 19-3 overall.

Coach Dodgen told 92.7 YERT FM that to carry this district momentum the Warriorettes will have to win their home games, and they'll have another chance to do that on Friday as White County will host the other school from Crossville - the Cumberland County Lady Jets. If you can't make it to Roy Sewell Gymnasium, catch the action on 92.7 YERT FM.
