With just one Saturday left before the postseason tournament, YMCA Youth Soccer teams spent the weekend making their final push through the regular season schedule. Players across multiple age groups packed the fields with plenty of energy as families lined the sidelines to cheer on another full slate of action.
From breakaway runs and crowded scrambles in front of the goal to quick passes through traffic and strong defensive stands, Saturday’s games had the feel of teams trying to build momentum at exactly the right time of the year. Several matches came down to fast-paced stretches where neither side gave much room to operate, while others turned into wide-open contests with constant movement up and down the field.

As has been the case throughout the spring season, the younger divisions brought plenty of enthusiasm while older groups showed more confidence working the ball into space and setting up scoring opportunities. Goalkeepers stayed busy throughout the day as players continued to attack aggressively heading toward tournament week.
The league tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, as the YMCA season officially comes to a close.
