The Central View community will be getting their Convenience Center back soon. The community was upset after the previous center, which had been located on landfill property, closed. County officials had promised that a new center would be opened in Central View; they just had to do all the government paperwork things – plus wait on the weather to cooperate – before they could make that happen.

After White County sold the landfill to Waste Management, alternate plans had to be made for the community's Convenience Center. The interim solution was to extend the hours at Cassville’s location, but this was never intended to be permanent. Late last week, county commissioner Derrick Hutchings annoucned that the plans for the new center are now in place.
