McMinnville resident and Warren County native Dawn Elaine Taylor, 75, was born Feb. 6, 1951 and died April 26, 2026 at NHC McMinnville following an extended illness.
A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a retired Deputy with the Warren County Sheriffs Department, and a member of the Catholic faith, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Vivian Hennessee Baty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Keith Elton "Butch" Baty.
Mrs. Taylor was married Jan. 7, 1971 to Clayton Taylor, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Anthony W. (Elizabeth Clemens) Taylor of McMinnville, and Terry L. (Marie) Taylor of Cleveland, Tenn.; grandchildren, Dalton (Morgan) Taylor, Preston (Summer) Taylor, Haley (Cameron Zettervall) Taylor, Jocelyn Taylor, Adrianna Taylor, Josh (Madeleine Hugershoff) Garcia; four great-grandchildren; brother, Kelly Baty; sisters, Lucy and Cindy Baty and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2026 in High's Chapel with Father Bala, Terry Taylor and Tony Taylor officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Full Military Honors will be administered by the Bobby Ray Detachment of the Marine Corps League.
