My name is Megan McBride Dodson, and I am proud to announce my candidacy for White County Commissioner, District 5.

White County isn’t just where I live—it’s who I am. I am a lifelong resident of District 5, a fourth-generation member of this community, the daughter of David and Janie McBride, with deep family roots that span generations. This district raised me, shaped my values, and taught me the importance of showing up for your neighbors.

I am a military veteran spouse, married to my husband Patrick Dodson, and together we are raising our two daughters, Madalyn and Ruthie, right here in the community we love. Like many families in District 5, we care deeply about the future we’re building for our children.

For the past 15 years, I have proudly served the White County School District, working alongside educators and families to support our students. I currently serve as President of the Quebeck-Walling Community Club, where I’ve had the honor of advocating for our community and helping bring people together to solve problems and move forward.

I am passionate about our kids, our families, and the future of White County. I believe good leadership should be fair, loyal, and compassionate—focused on listening, working hard, and making decisions that put people first.

I am running for County Commissioner to be a strong, steady voice for District 5—one that understands where we’ve been, values who we are, and is committed to where we’re going.

I would be honored to earn your support.Slogan: Leadership with Heart and Backbone.
