McMinnville resident and Shelbyville native Henry Roosevelt Arnold, 84 was born Jan. 31, 1942 and died June 17, 2026 at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following and extended illness.
A retired tractor mechanic for Kubota and a member of Brown Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Hoyle David and Cora Oma Lee Holbert Arnold. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Paul Gregory Arnold; sisters, Dorothy McGee, Minnie Thompson, Martha Tharpe, Doris Walker and Wilma Smith and brothers, Horce Arnold and Thomas Arnold.
He was married to Nora Belle Arnold of McMinnville on Aug. 20, 1963. In addition to his wife, Mr. Arnold is survived by son, William (Carlotta) Arnold of Murfreesboro; daughters, Robin (James) Anthony of Morrison, Kimberly Drake of Murfreesboro and Shannon Arnold of Smyrna; grandchildren, Dr. Kenya Arnold of Smyrna, Amber Lyons of Murfreesboro, C.J. Anthony of Morrison and Joshua Arnold, Benjamin Arnold and Jasmin Arnold, all of Germany; great-grandchildren, Journee and Jourdyn Lyons and Jalen Arnold; sister, Virginia Albert of Shelbyville; brother, Rufus Arnold of Washington, D.C. and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday, June 23, 2026 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
