A Sparta police officer reported clocking a vehicle traveling more than 30 miles per hour over the posted speed limit on Highway 111, but the situation reportedly became more concerning when the driver did not immediately pull over after blue lights were activated.

Even after the vehicle stopped, the warrant states the encounter continued creating what officers described as an unsafe situation, leading to a deeper investigation and ultimately a DUI charge.
