Human skeletal remains were found Monday on Bon Air Mountain, prompting an investigation into the identity of the person and how long the remains had been there.
White County Sheriff Steve Page confirmed the remains were found on property above Wildcat Falls and have been determined to be human. Investigators have not yet been able to determine the person's gender or a cause of death.
