Following two weeks of rockin', Main Street Live, the free summer concert series presented by Main Street McMinnville, will have more of a country twang in week three.

Hailing from Southeastern Kentucky, Sydney Adams will bring her brand of country music to the Main Street Live stage at Security Federal's West Lawn Friday, June 26 at 7 p.m.

Main Street McMinnville organizers are pleased with how the first two weeks of the 22nd edition of Main Street Live have gone and are eager to welcome Adams for Friday's show.

"We had an absolute blast traveling back in time with a '90s tribute band last week. The energy of the crowd was high, and everyone was singing along," Main Street McMinnville Executive Director Hannah Cowan Jones said. "This week, we are keeping the momentum going but shifting gears with Sydney Adams. Sydney is an incredible artist who has been writing her own music since she was 15 years old. Her powerhouse vocal talent is reminiscent of legends like Loretta Lynn and Patty Loveless, and she will deliver the deep-rooted country sound our community loves."

Adams released "I Don't Care," her first single, in 2018 and has been on tour ever since rubbing elbows with country-music greats like Ricky Skaggs, Craig Morgan, Jo Dee Messina, Tracy Lawrence and many more.

Main Street Live is entering its third decade as a staple of McMinnville summer nights and organizers are quick to acknowledge their sponsors for making that possible.

"What makes Main Street Live so special is that it’s completely free to the public, and that is entirely thanks to our phenomenal sponsors," Jones said. "They step up year after year because they believe in investing in our historic downtown and our community. We are in for another wonderful night of great music and great food."

The eight-concert Main Street Live series will see a change in venue and day next week. The Joe Harvey Band with opener August Lows (winner of last year's Battle of the Bands) will perform as Main Street Live is held in conjunction with the Freedom Fest Celebration presented by First National Bank of Middle Tennessee and Ben Lomand Connect Saturday, July 4 at Milner Recreation Center. Main Street Live will return to its home at Security Federal Savings Bank's West Lawn for the Battle of the Bands, July 10; Entice, July 17; Rae Radick, July 24; and Knights of Queen, July 31.

Main Street Live is sponsored by Main Street Media, Security Federal Savings Bank, Bridgestone, McMinnville Electric System, Law Offices of Galligan & Newman, Warren County, City of McMinnville, Middle Tennessee Natural Gas Utility District, Hale & Hines Nursery, Citizens Tri-County Bank and Hoover & Son Insurance. Vendors will open at 6 p.m. preceding the 7 p.m. concert.

To keep attendees safe, a portion of the left lane of W. Main St. will be closed to vehicle traffic Friday night. If weather concerns force a move to the Park Theater, that information will be provided to the Main Street Journal by midday Friday. As of noon Wednesday afternoon, Accuweather predicted a 55% chance of precipitation Friday afternoon with the possibility of a thunderstorm with the chances of rain dropping to 25% Friday night. While the Park Theater was on standby as a backup venue last week, it will not be available this Friday.
