- The 54th annual Warren County Arts & Craft Fair presented by Homeland Community Bank will take place at the Milner Recreation Center on 500 Garfield St from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22. Admission is free and patrons can expect to find pottery, crafted furniture, porcelain, stained glass, jewelry, christmas cards, baked & canned goods, handcrafted wood and other works of art.
- The Van Buren Chamber of Commerce is bringing back the annual Turkey Trot on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Spencer City Park at 8 a.m., featuring the Turkey Trot 5K run and the Gobble Wobble one-mile fun walk for families and kids. Reservations are $20 a person for the Turkey Trot and $5 a person for the Gobble Wobble. Those wishing to reserve a spot can contact the chamber at vbchamber2024@gmail.com. The event will also feature kids activities, costume parades, awards and raffle drawings. Businesses can support the event through $50 sponsorships, which include their name on the official race T-shirt, and are invited to donate prizes, raffle items or set up a community engagement table during the event.
- The Warren County Democratic Party’s monthly meeting will take place on Monday, Dec. 1 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the County Administration Building’s Magnolia Room located on 201 Locust St.
- The McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce, Industrial Development Board and Main Street McMinnville will be hosting the third annual Jingle & Mingle Christmas Open House on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 110 Court Square. This year’s open house will feature a meet and greet with Chamber President Jennifer Woods, a festive hot cocoa and coffee bar, Grazing tables with holiday favorites and more.
- The 12th annual McMinnville Nativity Festival is set to take place Dec. 12-14 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Assembly Hall at 562 Shangri La Lane. The festival will be open Friday, Dec. 12 from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13 from 3-8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 14 from 2-6 p.m. The free event consists of a self-guided tour through hundreds of Nativity and Crèche scenes from 30 countries on display and live music will be featured each day of the event. - Families in Crisis will host a Sexual Assault Support Group Thursday, Dec. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 101 W. Main St., McMinnville. The group offers survivors a safe space to receive support, take part in healing activities, increase self-esteem, and learn coping skills to empower them on their journey.
- The Warren County Republican Party will hold its monthly meeting Thursday, Dec. 18, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the early voting room of the Warren County Administration Building on Locust St. The group meets the third Thursday of each month to promote personal liberties and conservative values, as well as discuss and execute ideas to elect conservatives to local city and county government.
- The Warren County Master Gardeners’ Association will meet Thursday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds. The WCMGA meets the third Thursday of each month, gathering at the fairgrounds during summer months and at the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administration Building during the rest of the year. - The Warren County Genealogical Historical Association will hold its monthly meeting Saturday, Dec. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the County Administration Building at 201 Locust St. The WCGHS meets the third Saturday of each month offering a different program or speaker. - Heavenly Closet Thrift Store is open Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 100 Market Street, adjacent to the Farmer’s Market. The organization’s soup kitchen is open Mondays and Fridays, from 11:30 a.m. until noon each day, at 218 E. Main St. Proceeds from the thrift store fund the soup kitchen’s efforts. Volunteers and donations are always accepted. The group is part of the “Helping Hands” ministry.
