Roxanne Parson, 62

Rock Island, TN resident and McMinnville, TN native Roxanne Parson, 62, was born Nov. 12, 1963 and died Sept. 17, 2026 at St. Thomas River Park following a sudden illness.

A homemaker and member of McMinnville Primitive Baptist Church, she was the daughter of Jerry Hennessee and the late Jeanetta West Hennessee. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by grandson, Wyatt Ezra Parson; brother-in-law, Bobby Gann and mother and father-in-law, Claude and Ophelia Parson.

She was married to Richard Parson of Rock Island, TN on Aug. 28, 1986. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Parson is survived by children, Jared Wayne (Jessica) Parson of Virginia and Amber (Joey) Pickel of Rock Island, TN; grandchildren, Chloe and Sophie Parson and Emryk and Maevry Pickel; sister, Rhonda Gann of McMinnville, TN and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2026 at McMinnville Primitive Baptist Church with Jerry Hennessee to officiate. Burial will follow at New Bildad Cemetery in DeKalb County, TN. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
