Weather once again interrupted the White County Youth Baseball and Softball League schedule this week, as lightning forced several games to be postponed. Those matchups are expected to be made up next week, but enough games were completed on Tuesday and Thursday at the White County Recreational Complex to create some movement — and clarity — in several division races.

Competitive T-Ball

Doyle Church of the Nazarene continued to set the pace in the division, staying undefeated with a 15-12 win over Foothills on Tuesday. Tennessee Site Prep also kept things rolling near the top of the standings, improving to 4-0 with a 15-10 win over Warrior Wash.

Thursday’s results added another layer to the race behind the leaders. Whites Disposal moved further above .500 with an 8-4 win over Passons Underground, while Sparta Heating & Air Conditioning picked up a needed result with a 15-9 win against Sparta Fireworks. Foothills, after falling earlier in the week, rebounded with a 10-4 victory over Randy Wallace Insurance to stay in the middle of the pack.

Coach Pitch Boys

Price Sluggers remained firmly in the upper tier of the standings with a 12-10 win over Bradys Printing on Tuesday, continuing their strong run through the schedule.

Thursday belonged to National Guard, which kept its perfect record intact with a 17-9 win over Thompson Construction, extending its winning streak and maintaining its spot at the top of the division. Three Rivers also stayed within striking distance, using a dominant 19-0 win over Bradys Printing to keep pressure on the leaders. Clean Cut Lawn Care, meanwhile, picked up just its second win of the season with a 12-3 result against Gulla Automotive.

Minor Boys

The race at the top remains tight, but Ben Dildine Tru-North continued its dominant season Thursday, improving to a perfect record with a narrow 9-8 win over Nate Card Construction. The result kept them firmly in control of the division.

Turney Financial also made a move upward with a 12-10 win over Koala Insulation. The victory gives Turney Financial a winning record and keeps them within reach as the schedule continues to unfold.

Minor Girls

Yert Nutrition used its Tuesday matchup to stay in the middle of a tightly packed standings race, earning an 8-3 win over Uzin Fusion Metalworks. The result keeps them within striking distance of the division’s unbeaten teams, where Franks and Reco continue to lead the way without a loss.

With multiple games still to be made up, several divisions remain fluid. But as teams begin to separate into tiers, each result is starting to carry a little more weight heading into the final stretch of the season.
