The deadline for candidates to submit petitions to appear on the Aug. 6 Tennessee State Primary ballot passed at noon on Tuesday, March 10.

With the filing deadline now closed, several races affecting White County voters have taken shape as Republicans and Democrats prepare to select their party nominees ahead of the November general election.

The Aug. 6 election will serve as the state primary for both the Republican and Democratic parties, determining which candidates will advance to the general election in several federal and state-level races.
