Manchester resident and Lincoln County native Timothy Dwight Cox, 62, was born Dec. 27, 1963 and died Aug. 5, 2026 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro following an extended illness.

A carpenter and member of the Church of God, he was the son of the late Morris and Edith Cothren Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Darrell Cox and great-niece, Macey.

Mr. Cox is survived by son, Zachary (Kenzie) Cox of Paris, Tenn.; step-daughter, Brittany (Justin) Pierceall of Manchester; step-son, Cody Owens of Manchester; step-daughter, Maggie May of Manchester; grandchildren, Lily, Kynlee, Kayden, Violet, Zoey and Bradley; brother, William (Sandra) Cox of Manchester; nieces and nephews, Natasha, Misty, Daryl, Braedon, Morgan, Mallory and William Caden and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2026 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Faulkner Cemetery at Pike Hill in Warren County. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
