The White County High School flag football team may have seen its season come to an end in the Region 3AA playoffs last week, but several Warriorettes are still bringing home postseason recognition after earning District 3-2A honors following another competitive season on the field.
White County finished the year with several strong performances down the stretch, including a playoff shutout win over Shelbyville Central before pushing unbeaten Blackman harder than almost anyone else had all season in the Warriorettes’ final game.
Leading the way for White County on the District 3-2A All-Region Team were Sarah Kate Winfree, AlliBeth Stebing, and Rhaleigh Cloyd. Addy Cocke and Maddie Austin also picked up postseason recognition as honorable mention selections.
Winfree was one of the Warriorettes’ most consistent playmakers throughout the season and earned multiple Player of the Game honors during White County’s late-season push. Stebing also turned in several standout performances, including being named Player of the Game in the Warriorettes’ playoff matchup against Blackman.
Cocke and Austin were both recognized during the season for big individual outings as White County battled through one of the toughest flag football schedules in the state. The Warriorettes faced multiple ranked and playoff-caliber programs throughout the spring while continuing to help grow one of Tennessee’s newest sanctioned TSSAA sports.
The postseason honors cap another important step forward for White County’s young flag football program. After finishing among the top teams in the area during the sport’s inaugural sanctioned seasons, the Warriorettes continued building momentum this spring and are looking ahead toward next year as the young team will step onto the field in 2027 with experience.
