The White County High School Warriorettes are three matches into the 2026 season, and they have yet to slow down.

White County improved to 3-0 on the season Thursday night with a 3-0 victory over Cannon County, continuing an impressive opening stretch that has seen the Warriorettes outscore their opponents 14-1.

Sophomore Makayla Sullivan, freshman Livia Dobbs and junior Anna Joliff each found the back of the net as White County controlled the match from start to finish against a Cannon County team that entered the evening with a 1-1 record.

While the Warriorette offense continued to produce, head coach Madison Mason was especially pleased with the defensive effort.Mason's biggest praise after the match was reserved for her back line.

"We didn't make any substitutions along the back line until the very end, and three of those girls played the full 80 minutes," the White County coach said. "I was really proud of the effort they gave us tonight."

The shutout continued what has been an outstanding start defensively for the Warriorettes. After allowing just one goal through their first two matches, White County blanked Cannon County to record its second clean sheet of the young season.

Last season's first-ever regional tournament appearance showed what the Warriorettes were capable of. Three matches into the new season, they are building on that momentum while continuing to change the conversation around soccer in White County.

White County will return to the pitch Tuesday, Aug. 25, when the Warriorettes host Jackson County.
