The White County Middle School Warriors opened their season in impressive fashion, earning a 7–2 victory on the road against the Sequatchie County Braves.
Brenam Sandlin delivered a standout performance, recording a hat trick and adding an assist to lead the Warriors’ offensive surge. Teammates Braxton Jones and Micah Hogg each contributed two goals and one assist, while Kolt Pryor added an assist to round out a highly productive night for the offense.
In goal, Haydrien Stevens made his first varsity start and tallied four saves. Mac Armstrong added two more saves as the Warriors controlled the match from start to finish.
Coach Justin Rittenberry said he wasn’t quite sure what to expect after the team’s preseason scrimmage was canceled, but any concerns quickly faded once the whistle blew.
“We came out firing on all cylinders and never looked back," Rittenberry said. "It was a total team effort and now we shift our focus to a big district game against Algood."
The Warriors will look to carry that momentum forward as they prepare for one of their most important matchups of the early season.
