The White County Commission approved a rewrite of its bylaws Monday night, cutting the number of rules from 17 to 12 and making several changes to the county’s committee structure.
County Executive Kyle Goff told commissioners the biggest goal of the revision was consolidation. Several sections of the previous bylaws were redundant, while others needed relatively minor grammar and punctuation changes. The more significant changes involved which committees the county will maintain and who can serve on them.
