Opening night brought the bats, the runs, and just enough early-season chaos to remind everyone why spring ball in White County is hard to beat.

Across the first two nights of action at the White County Recreational Complex, teams wasted no time settling in. From tight finishes to run-rule statements, the 2026 season is already off to a lively start.

Minor Girls Softball

The first swings of the season set the tone Monday night, and the Minor Girls division didn’t hold back.

Tennessee Septic got things rolling with a strong 12-1 win over Edd Rogers Valley Ford, showing early control on both sides of the ball. Later in the evening, Reco turned in one of the most dominant performances of the young season, blanking Uzin Fusion Metalworks 18-0.

Tuesday’s games tightened up a bit.

Yert Nutrition picked up a 4-1 win over Powerhouse Powerwash in a more measured matchup, while Franks delivered one of the louder statements of the night with a 14-1 win over Robbie Porter.

Through two nights, the division has already shown a mix of explosive offense and solid defensive outings — a combination that should make for a competitive stretch ahead.

Competitive T-Ball

If opening night is about energy, Competitive T-Ball delivered it in full.

Monday’s slate featured one of the most balanced games of the week, as Tennessee Site Prep and Whites Disposal battled to a 15-15 tie — a fitting start for a division where every inning feels like a rally.

Doyle Church of the Nazarene followed with a 15-8 win over Parker Metal Supply, while The Way Church closed the night with a 10-7 victory over Jaxito Burrito.

Tuesday brought more back-and-forth action.

Warrior Wash edged Randy Wallace Insurance 10-8 in one of the tighter finishes, and Foothills pulled away late for a 10-2 win over Sparta Heating and Air Conditioning. The night wrapped with another nail-biter as Sparta Fireworks and Passons Underground played to a 9-9 draw.

Early returns show a division full of offense and momentum swings — and not many easy outs.

Coach Pitch Boys (Ages 6–9)

Monday’s action saw Price Sluggers top Clean Cut Lawn Care 10-2, whilePiney Creek picked up a 14-6 win over Bradys Printing. Three Rivers followed with a strong 15-2 showing against Gulla Automotive, and Thompson Construxtion closed the night with a 15-4 win over Del Toro Arms

Tuesday flipped the script in a few spots.

Thompson Construction followed up day 1 with another win - this time 14-6 over Bradys Printing, and National Guard slipped past Price Sluggers 13-11 in one of the more competitive games across all divisions.

Del Toro Arms rebounded from Monday's loss with a 12-2 win over Gulla Automotive, while Clean Cut Lawn Care suffered another loss, 17-5, to Three Rivers.

Plenty of bats, plenty of base runners, and no shortage of action — exactly what you expect from this age group.

A Fast Start to the Season

Two days in, and the early storylines are already forming — teams finding their rhythm, others looking to respond, and a whole lot of offense lighting up the scoreboard. And the best part: it's not over yet - there are still three more days of action this week. Catch your Minor Boys division, along with the three divisions above, in action on Thurday and Friday this week, and then watch the Tiny Tots get started on Saturday.

If opening week is any indication, this season at the rec complex is going to be a fun one to follo.
