White County’s dominance in District 6 was never really in doubt this spring. On Monday, the Warriors and Warriorettes made it official — and then went a step further.

After completing undefeated runs through district play during the regular season, both teams secured the Class A Region 3 District 6 team championships on April 27. White County didn’t stop at team titles, however, sweeping both the singles and doubles brackets in the individual tournament and filling every championship and runner-up position.

It marked a clean sweep across the board for a program that has controlled the district from start to finish.

The district includes Bledsoe County, Grundy County, Marion County, Sequatchie County, South Pittsburg and Van Buren County, but Monday’s results left little question about where the balance of power currently sits.

White County’s showing also positions the program for a deep postseason push, with both team and individual paths to the state tournament now in play.

In Tennessee’s postseason format, team and individual competitions run separately. The team competition is a dual-match format, where teams race to four wins across singles and doubles play. By winning the district title, White County advances to the Region 3 team tournament, where a win would send them to sectionals — one step away from the state tournament.

At the same time, the top finishers in the individual tournament advance to region play, creating a second avenue to state qualification. With Monday’s results, White County will send a full slate of players into the next round.

The Warriors and Warriorettes accounted for both finalists in every bracket:

Boys Singles
Champion: Jagger Osborne
Runner-up: Rhoane Whorton

Boys Doubles
Champions: John Durfee & Ethan Wiles
Runner-up: Solomon Hawkins & Ben Brogden

The quick turnaround into the next phase of the postseason begins later this week.

White County will host Signal Mountain on Thursday in the Region 3 team competition, with a trip to the sectional round on the line. The dual match is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Warrior courts.

The individual qualifiers will return to action Monday at Hixson High School, where they will face top players from District 5 with regional titles — and state tournament berths — at stake.

White County’s lineup for Thursday’s team match includes:
