Thursday night brought another busy slate of action across the White County Youth Baseball and Softball League as teams continued their push toward the end of the regular season.
While the regular season is scheduled to wrap up this week, several teams still have makeup games remaining after Monday's schedule was washed out by inclement weather. Those contests could still impact final standings and tournament seeding in several divisions before postseason play begins next week.
In Minor Boys action, Nate Card Construction held off Koala Insulation for a 10-8 victory, while Meeks Construction earned a 9-1 win over Turney Financial.
The win keeps Nate Card Construction firmly in the hunt for a top-three finish. Meeks Construction also remains in a strong position as the regular season winds down, though Ben Dildine Tru-North continues to control the division race with an undefeated 10-0 record. Tru-North holds a three-game lead over Meeks with only two games remaining for Meeks, meaning the league leader has already secured first place heading into tournament play.

The Major Boys division produced a pair of close contests Thursday night.
Toro Nutrition edged Sonic 8-7 in a one-run battle, while Whitson Lawncare remained perfect with an 8-4 victory over Spar Gas.
Whitson Lawncare improved to 7-0 and sits atop the standings with three games still remaining. Sonic remains in second place, but Toro Nutrition's victory pulled it within striking distance of the top two spots. With three games remaining, Toro still has an opportunity to climb the standings before tournament play begins.

On the softball side, Tennessee Septic continued its strong season in Minor Girls play with a 9-0 shutout victory over Yert Nutrition. Reco also picked up an important win, defeating Robbie Porter 16-7.
The standings race remains tight behind division-leading Franks. Tennessee Septic sits just 1.5 games back, while Reco remains only two games off the pace with two regular-season games remaining. Depending on the outcome of upcoming makeup contests, the battle for the top seed could remain unsettled until the final days of the regular season.

Major Girls action saw Robbie Porter defeat MMG Truck & Trailer Repair 15-7, while Premier Collision earned an 11-8 victory over Rocky Pop Co.
The Premier Collision win keeps the team in third place and within reach of second-place BCX Lazer Printing. Calf Killer Brewing Co. continues to hold the division lead, but several teams still have makeup games remaining that could influence final tournament seeding before brackets are finalized.

With the regular season nearing its conclusion and tournament play set to begin next week, every remaining game carries added importance as teams battle for position heading into the postseason.
Coach Pitch and Competitive T-Ball have already completed their regular seasons and are now awaiting tournament brackets.
