Fans of the original Van Halen lineup are advised to "Jump" into action to grab tickets for an "Eruption" of '80s nostalgia as 84 comes to the Park Theater Saturday night.
Billed as the southeast's hottest Van Halen tribute band, 84 faithfully recreates not only the sound of the original Van Halen lineup but also captures the look and energy of David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen, Michael Anthony and Alex Van Halen, transporting audiences back in time. The members of 84, accomplished musicians in their own right, have painstakingly crafted a show which lovingly pays tribute to the stage presence and bombast of early Van Halen, encouraging the crowd to "Dance the Night Away" throughout the "Unchained" performance.
Park management is excited about the June 13 show and encourages attendees to come ready to rock on.
"We love a classic 80's tribute, and our audience does, too, so we're looking forward to welcoming 84 for their Park Theater debut," Park Theater Assistant Manager Ashley Gillentine Wright said. "We've really enjoyed the variety of tribute and original acts that we've been able to bring to McMinnville this year and we're excited for what this group will add to the mix. We hope folks come out in their '80s best and that they enjoy the energy and nostalgia of the night. It's also Second Saturday on Main Street, so show attendees will have some great opportunities to enjoy some delicious food, great shopping and some of the best that our downtown has to offer before they even get to the concert."
Tickets start at $20 plus tax and are available at the Park Theater website, the Park box office at 115 W. Main St. during business hours and at the door. The show is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. with doors opening at approximately 6 p.m.
