• Tuesday, August 11, 8am – Coffee with Electric and Public Works at the White County Chamber of Commerce. Stop by for coffee, light refreshments, fellowship, and an opportunity to say "thank you" to these community heroes. Everyone is welcome! 
• Tuesday, August 11, 4pm – 5pm – Scott's Gulf Junior Explorers – Bee the Difference. Join park rangers as they discuss bee keeping and  
• Thursday, August 13, 6pm – White County School Board meeting at the White County Board of Education central office. 
• Tuesday, August 14 – Women in the Wilderness, Perseid Meteor Shower viewing at Scott’s Gulf. Registration is required (register on the park website). 
• Saturday, August 15, 7am – 12noon – Van Buren County Farmers Market  
• Saturday, August 15, 10am – 3pm - Van Buren County Historical & Heritage Museum is open 
• Saturday, August 15, 7pm -Van Buren County Fair & 4-H Fun Horse Show

• Wednesday, August 19, 12noon – 1pm – White County Chamber of Commerce’s New Member Luncheon at Oldham Theater. Registration is required. 
• Friday, August 21, 4pm – 7pm – Sparta Green Market. Local vendors will be on hand at Metcalf Park for shopping. Businesses around Liberty Square will have extended hours.  
• Friday, August 21, 7pm – Bluegrass on the Square 
• Saturday, August 22, 8am – 11pm - Cars & Coffee at Mel’s Old Times Cafe 
• Saturday, August 22, 12:30pm – White County Baby Pageant at the Ag Pavilion: Baby Girl, Tiny Tot, Tiny Miss, Petite Miss, and Young Miss 
• Saturday, August 22, 5:30pm – White County Fair Pageants at the Ag Pavilion: Little Miss, Junior Miss, Fair Princess, Fairest of the Fair 
• Thursday, August 27, 9am – 11am – White County Public Library celebrates 20 years at current location.

• Friday, August 28, 7pm – 11:30pm - Fall Creek Falls All Night Fishing  
• Saturday, August 29 – WCHS Quarterback Club Annual Auction and Dinner. Tickets available from Warrior football players. 
• September 18 – 20. Fall Market at Northfield Vineyards, 515 Cemetery Rd, Sparta. Three days of vendors, food trucks, boutiques, artisans, crafters, music, and fun. Free admission and parking. 
• Thursday, September 24, 6pm - Sparta Rotary Club Annual BBQ at Duck Pond Manor 
• Friday, September 25 - The Sparta-White County Chamber Annual Golf Tournament is back, and we can't wait to see you on the course for a day of great golf, networking, and community fun. Registration will open SOON.  
• Saturday, October 10, 10am – 8pm - Liberty Square Lester Flatt Celebration in Downtown Sparta. Enjoy a day of Bluegrass, crafts, classic cars, and food. 
• Friday, October 17, 4pm – 7pm – Sparta Green Market Local vendors will be on hand at Metcalf Park for shopping. Businesses around Liberty Square will have extended hours.  
• Friday, October 17, 7pm – Bluegrass on the Square 
• Saturday, October 17, 6am – 12noon – RAM Clinic. Free pop-up medical clinic in Sparta.
