The White County Warrioettes were looking to ride a wave of momentum heading into their boarder clash against the Van Buren County Eaglettes.
Sparta came off two wins - one against Signal Mountain and the other a forfeit win over LaVergne - and that wave of momentum would crash as the team from Spencer would take a lead they'd never lose, going on to win 20-6.
VBCHS jumped out to a 7-0 lead after Shaylynn Ross connected with Abigail Netherton for a touchdown pass. Ross would then find Cara Mills, a name familiar to Warriorette fans due to her basketball prowess, for the one point conversion,
Sparta would answer back on the very next drive when Sara Winfree would find Allibeth Stebing who cut up the field to find the end zone for Sparta's only score of the night.
The Eaglettes would add on to their lead after Ross added another passing touchdown to her night finding Ellie Grissom to take a 13-6 lead.
That 13-6 lead would last from halftime to the final minute of the game when Ross would find Grissom again for the dagger.
On the JV side to start the evening the game would also see a 20-6 score but this time it went in favor of the Warriorettes.
Three more games remain in the regular season with the next game coming against Livingston Academy on Thursday.
