Friday night brought a lighter slate of action to the White County Recreational Complex, but there was still plenty of movement across several divisions as teams continued to settle into the rhythm of the season. In a couple of divisions, some teams were even just getting their first taste of game action this spring.
The Coach Pitch Boys division saw Del Toro Arms continue its climb near the top of the standings with a big offensive night in a 21-7 win over Gulla Automotive. Del Toro entered the evening sitting in the middle of a tightly-packed race, and the bats helped create some breathing room Friday night.
Three Rivers also picked up an important victory, knocking off Clean Cut Lawn Care 14-8. The win keeps Three Rivers in the mix as teams continue jockeying for position behind the division leaders.

Competitive T-Ball and Minor Boys Live Arm did not play Friday night.

In the Major Boys Live Arm division, Whitson Lawncare made a loud first impression. After not playing prior to Friday, Whitson opened its season with a 12-2 win over Roberson Fencing. The victory immediately pushed Whitson into the crowded race near the top of the standings while handing Roberson its second straight loss after opening the year with back-to-back wins.
Ben Lomand also celebrated its first win of the season Friday night with a 6-1 victory over Toro Nutrition. For Toro, the matchup marked its first game of the year, while Ben Lomand used the result to build momentum after a tough opening stretch to the schedule.

The Minor Girls Softball division continued to produce close contests Friday night. Tennessee Septic edged Powerhouse Powerwash 5-4 in a one-run battle, while Franks picked up a 7-2 win over Uzin Fusion Metalworks. With several teams clustered tightly together in the standings, every result is beginning to carry a little more weight as the season moves deeper into May.

Major Girls Softball also brought two different storylines Friday night. Calfkiller Brewing Co. kept its perfect start intact with a 14-2 win over Rocky Pop Co., which was playing its first game of the season. BCX Lazer Printing also added to its win column with a 12-0 victory over Robbie Porter, which was making its season debut. With Calfkiller still unbeaten and two more teams now officially in the mix, the division is beginning to take shape.

With just three weeks left in the regular season for most divisions, every game is beginning to carry a little more importance at the White County Recreational Complex. Several races remain tightly packed heading into another busy week of action, and with postseason spots and momentum on the line, the intensity on the baseball and softball fields is expected to ramp up quickly as teams enter the home stretch of the season.
