• The “Women’s Voices for Civil Rights” traveling exhibit will be on display May 13-21 at Morrison Public Library on 100 W Maple St. Created through Kennesaw State University and funded by a grant from the Breman Foundation of Atlanta, the exhibit highlights women and girls who advocated for civil rights in the United States. The display features colorful illustrations by young female artists Scarlett Green and Julia Guevara and includes educational material designed for both adults and youth, including students as young as third grade.
  • The EAA Chapter 1700 will host its Fly/Drive/Bike/Walk/Crawl/Hop-In Rain or Shine Breakfast on Saturday, May 16 from 7:30-10 a.m. at Warren County Memorial Airport on 635 Airport Dr. The breakfast menu will include pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, along with coffee, juice and water. The event is open to pilots, EAA members, aviation enthusiasts and the public. Young Eagles from Timothy Hill Ranch will also assist with the event.
  • The Rock Island Community Center Club will host a Neighbors Market Day on Saturday, May 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2886 Pine Bluff Rd. Indoor and outdoor vendor spaces are available for yard sale items, arts and crafts, food and more; applications can be found on Facebook or at local Rock Island stores, and more information is available by calling 931-510-0641 or 931-212-6372.
  • The Warren County Genealogical and Historical Association will meet on Saturday, May 16 at 2 p.m. in the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administration Building at 201 Locust St. The program will be presented by Damon Graham, a park ranger of Rock Island State Park.
  • A Funday Sunday Fundraiser featuring a spaghetti dinner will be held Sunday, May 17 from 2-5 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 4190 at 567 Co Hillis Rd in Rock Island. Plates will be available for $8 and include spaghetti and fixings. The event will also serve as a membership drive and is open to members and their guests.
  • The Warren County Commission Meeting will take place on Monday, May 18 at 6 p.m. at the Warren County Administration Building on 201 Locust St.
  • The Chamber’s Annual Legislative Breakfast will take place Tuesday, May 19 at 7:30 a.m. at Central Church of Christ at 101 East Morford St. Attendees can enjoy breakfast while hearing from Janice Bowling, Paul Sherrell, Terry Bell and Ryle Chastain during a Q&A session. Tickets are $15 for Chamber members and $20 for non-members, with the event sponsored by Security Federal Savings Bank.
  • Families in Crisis will host a Sexual Assault Support Group Thursday, May 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 101 W. Main St., McMinnville. The group offers survivors a safe space to receive support, take part in healing activities, increase self-esteem, and learn coping skills to empower them on their journey.
  • The Warren County Master Gardeners’ Association will meet Thursday, May 21 at 6 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the Warren County Administration Building at 201 Locust St. WCMGA meets the third Thursday of each month, gathering at the fairgrounds during summer months and at the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administration Building during the rest of the year.   • The annual Decoration Day at Shellsford Cemetery will be held Sunday, May 24. Donations collected during the event will go toward the upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery.   • VFW Post 5064 will hold a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 25, at the Warren County Memorial Airport, located at 635 Airport Dr. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and will honor those who served and sacrificed for the country.
  • 2026 Summer Tennis Camps will be held at the Milner Recreation Center/David Dunlap Tennis Complex in McMinnville on May 25–28, June 22–25 and July 27–30. Camps are open to ages 6–15 with sessions in the morning; cost is $100. Participants can call 931-273-3435 for details.
  • The McMinnville - Warren County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbing cutting ceremony for Flat Foot Records on 102 W Main St, on Thursday, May 28 at 11:30 a.m.
  • A campaign meet-and-greet for Tennessee gubernatorial candidate Lauren Pinkston will be held Thursday, May 28 from 4-6 p.m. at the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce. Community members will have the opportunity to meet Pinkston and learn more about her campaign for Tennessee governor. RSVP information is available through the campaign website.
  • The inaugural McMinnville International Cultural Festival will be held Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Milner Recreation Center on 500 Garfield St, celebrating diverse cultures across Tennessee with shopping, food, dance and community activities.   • The Warren County Democratic Party will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, June 1 at 6 p.m. in the Magnolia Room on 201 Locust St. The group meets on the first Monday of every month.
  • A free Community & Career Expo hosted by the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce and McMinnville-Warren County Industrial Development Board will be held Friday, June 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Three Star Mall in McMinnville, offering a chance to connect with local employers, TCAT and Motlow representatives and area businesses. Attendees can get resume help, learn interview skills, enjoy food trucks and kid-friendly activities, and register for door prizes.
  • The second annual Cannon County Worship Fest will be held Saturday, June 6 beginning at 11 a.m. at Dillon Park Lehman St in Woodbury. The free community-wide event will feature live worship music, prayer and fellowship throughout the day, along with food vendors, bounce houses and free games for kids. Organizers invite the community to come together for a day of praise and fellowship while kicking off the summer season in the park.
  • The Warren County Lions Club will host its 14th Annual Two-Person Scramble Charity Golf Tournament in memory of PCC Bob Davenport on Saturday, June 13 at WillowBrook Golf Club on 6751 McMinnville Hwy in Manchester. Lunch will be served at noon with a 1 p.m. tee time. Entry is $100 per player and includes lunch, two mulligans and two red tees.   • Lucky C.I.C. will host a candidate meet and greet on Saturday, June 13 beginning at 4 p.m. at 8406 Lucky Rd. The event will include an auction and a meal, with all proceeds benefiting improvements to the Lucky C.I.C. park. Community members will also have an opportunity to meet and speak with local candidates during the gathering.
  • Heavenly Closet Thrift Store is open Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 100 Market Street, adjacent to the Farmer’s Market. The organization’s soup kitchen is open Mondays and Fridays, from 11:30 a.m. until noon each day, at 218 E. Main St. Proceeds from the thrift store fund the soup kitchen’s efforts. Volunteers and donations are always accepted. The group is part of the “Helping Hands” ministry.
