This week’s early action in the White County Youth Baseball and Softball League brought more tight finishes, unbeaten teams strengthening their grip on the standings, and several clubs beginning to find momentum as the season settles in. From one-run thrillers in Competitive T-Ball to opening-week statement wins in the Major divisions, Monday and Tuesday delivered another busy stretch across the White County Recreational Complex.
COMPETITIVE T-BALL
Competitive T-Ball continued to produce some of the league’s closest games of the season, including a one-run finish Monday night between Sparta Heating & Air Conditioning and Warrior Wash. Sparta Heating & Air Conditioning escaped with a 9-8 victory, giving the club its second straight win after a difficult start to the year.
Whites Disposal continued its strong season Monday with a 15-4 win over Sparta Fireworks, while Foothills added another victory to stay near the top of the standings after defeating Passons Underground 14-5.
Tuesday’s schedule featured another slate of competitive games. Parker Metal Supply edged Jaxito Burrito 10-9 in one of the closest contests of the week, while Randy Wallace Insurance picked up an 11-5 victory over The Way Church. Doyle Church of the Nazarene remained unbeaten with a 15-5 win over Tennessee Site Prep, stretching its winning streak to seven games and continuing to separate itself at the top of the division standings.

COACH PITCH BOYS
The upper half of the Coach Pitch standings continued to tighten this week as several teams added important wins heading into the middle portion of the season.
Price Sluggers stayed hot Monday night with a dominant 16-1 win over Clean Cut Lawn Care. The victory extended Price Sluggers’ winning streak to six games and kept the team near the top of the standings alongside National Guard. Piney Creek Lumber also stayed in the hunt with a 14-2 victory over Brady’s Printing.
Tuesday brought another solid performance from Three Rivers, which defeated Gulla Automotive 13-3 to remain within striking distance of the division leaders. Thompson Construction also added an important win, holding off Del Toro Arms 10-7 in a matchup between teams trying to gain ground in the standings race.
With only a few losses separating several teams near the top half of the table, the Coach Pitch division continues to shape up as one of the league’s most competitive groups.

Minor Boys Live Arm
Minor Boys Live Arm did not have games scheduled Monday or Tuesday, with division play set to resume May 15.
Even without games this week, Ben Dildine Tru-North remains unbeaten at 7-0 and continues to hold the top spot in the standings. Meeks Construction and Turney Financial remain within reach as the division prepares to return to action next week.

Major Boys Live Arm
The newest division in the league officially opened play this week, and the first two nights immediately delivered close games and an early unbeaten showdown.
Roberson Fencing opened the season Monday with a 12-5 win over Ben Lomand, while Spar Gas defeated Sonic 7-2 in the other opening-night matchup.
Tuesday’s schedule featured the division’s first marquee game as Roberson Fencing narrowly slipped past Spar Gas 10-9 in a tight contest between the league’s two opening-night winners. The victory moved Roberson Fencing to 2-0 early in the season. Sonic bounced back from its opening loss later Tuesday with a 7-4 win over Ben Lomand to even its record at 1-1.
With every team now having at least two games under its belt, the early standings suggest the Major Boys division could feature plenty of parity throughout the inaugural season.

Minor Girls
Minor Girls softball also remained off this week, with games scheduled to resume May 8.
Franks and Reco continue to sit unbeaten atop the standings entering the next round of games, while Tennessee Septic and Yert Nutrition remain close behind as the division prepares to restart play later this week.

Major Girls
Major Girls softball officially opened its season this week with several explosive offensive performances and an early matchup between opening-night winners.
Calfkiller Brewing Co. wasted little time making an early statement Monday, defeating BCX Lazer Printing 10-2. Premier Collision also opened the season strong with an 18-6 win over MMG Truck & Trailer Repair in one of the highest-scoring games of the week.
Tuesday’s action reshuffled the standings quickly. BCX Lazer Printing rebounded from its season-opening loss with a 13-6 victory over MMG Truck & Trailer Repair, while Calfkiller Brewing Co. remained unbeaten by defeating Premier Collision 12-1 in a battle of Monday’s winners.
Through the first week of play, Calfkiller Brewing Co. has emerged as the early team to chase after allowing only three total runs across its first two games.
