The White County Youth Baseball and Softball League wrapped up its season Friday night. While the Coach Pitch and Minor Boys divisions had already crowned their tournament champions earlier in the week, four more division titles were still on the line.

In the Minor Girls division, Frank's completed a season sweep by winning both the regular season and tournament championships. Calfkiller Brewing Co. accomplished the same feat in Major Girls, while Doyle Church of the Nazarene finished off a sweep of the Competitive T-Ball division.

The Major Boys championship also went according to form as Whitson Lawn Care capped off its season with both the regular season and tournament titles, aided by a grand slam from Nolan Hall in the championship game.

When the final out was recorded and the bases were cleared, the league turned its attention to recognizing the players, coaches and volunteers who made the season possible.

Matt Winn was named Coach of the Year. Three volunteers were also recognized for their contributions throughout the season. Josh Buchanan was honored for his work preparing the fields, often battling challenging weather conditions, while Johnny and Carleen Smith were recognized for their efforts both coaching teams and operating the concession stand throughout the season.
