The White County Middle School girls golf team added another chapter to an already flawless season on Wednesday, capturing the Tennessee Middle School Golf Association Girls M1 District Championship while keeping their undefeated record intact.

Just days after wrapping up a perfect regular season, the Warriorettes carried that momentum into postseason play, finishing with a team score of 81 to edge South Cumberland (85) for the district title. Avery Trace (96), Algood (98), Prescott (101), Livingston (110), Stone Memorial (122), Jackson County (137), and Warren County (151) rounded out the field.

White County set the tone early and never let up, leaning on consistent scoring across the lineup to separate from the pack in a tightly contested race at the top.

Individually, Piper Heady turned in one of the day’s top performances, carding a 38 to tie South Cumberland’s Kinsley Wilson for the lowest round. Wilson ultimately claimed medalist honors after edging Heady in a playoff, leaving Heady as the tournament’s runner-up.

Ava Elrod also delivered a strong showing, finishing third overall with a 43, while Rowan Hutson completed the Warriorettes’ scoring with a 59.

With the TMSGA Girls M1 District Championship secured, White County now turns its attention to the next step toward a third straight trip to State. The Warriorettes will play in Sectionals, scheduled for May 11 at Two Rivers, where they will look to extend their unbeaten run and continue a season that has yet to produce a loss.
